California Consumer Privacy Rights

This section applies to California residents and describes your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

  • Identifiers — name, email address, phone number, IP address
  • Commercial information — lead/quote requests, subscription and payment records
  • Professional/employment information — Candidate Profile data including work history, education, skills, and resume files (for job seekers)
  • Internet or other electronic network activity — pages viewed, links clicked, search filters used
  • Geolocation data — country/state/city selected for firm search, leads, or job applications
  • Audio/visual information — profile photos and firm logo/gallery images you upload

Your Rights

  • Right to know what personal information is collected, used, disclosed, or sold
  • Right to delete personal information (including your account, Candidate Profile, resume, and associated messages)
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
  • Right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of your privacy rights

We Do Not Sell Personal Information

Tax Pro Local does not sell personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. When we share your lead request or job application with a specific firm you chose to contact or apply to, this is a service you requested, not a "sale" or "share" for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

How to Exercise Your Rights

California residents may submit a verifiable consumer request through our Contact page or by emailing privacy@taxprolocal.com. We will verify your identity before fulfilling access or deletion requests and will respond within the timeframe required by the CCPA/CPRA.
